The Impact of the Workshop
"...the mind and body connections are really empowering. I felt able to connect to my body again. It relaxed any tension happening in my muscles, which I did not realize in my daily life."
"Notice the fact that I was not looking after myself enough. Always tried to do things for others and not for me.
Changes take time, be more intentional. Pause. Less rush."
"I think I am more open and relaxed, definitely more honest with myself. I don’t want to pretend. I want to feel, I want to feel things sincerely."
How The Space is Held
"...there was no pressure to do anything, and there wasn’t any judgment from the space or people. I believe it’s because the facilitator held the space well to create this environment."
"Therapeutic, supportive, non-judgmental space."
"It felt special to have a safe space where I could explore ways of expressing/healing my body with no judgment."
"I feel this is a safe place to let go of my head and listen to my heart."
The Impact on Well-bing
"Yuyu's session did such an amazing job of uplifting everyone and bringing everyone together."
"It was very nice and relaxing to have the time to focus on myself and cherish self... As a migrant, I feel my daily behavior and feelings are easily influenced by surroundings, so I didn’t care about my feelings that much before."
"...I was completely present. I wasn’t worrying about my past or future while we were doing the exercises."
